FAQs

What does CNST stand for?
CNST is the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology founded in 2001 and located at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

How can my company become a CNST partner?
We encourage you to sift through our website, and identify areas of research and applications of interest to your company. We then ask you to send a brief email to the Director outlining the specific goals of your company as it pertains to Nanotechnology, anticipated budget allocated for conducting research development efforts, and a brief list of current relevant projects. Once a preliminary evaluation is conducted, you will be contacted for a formal meeting. Due to high demand for partnerships, we encourage your company to initiate the process as early as possible.

Is financial support available for students?
Yes, talented students with a commitment to nanotechnology research and education are considered for a limited number of awards and tuition waivers.

How can I get more information about the center and its activities?
Please contact, Assistant Director, CNST, or email: nano@uiuc.edu
