Designed For:

HS Students

Overview

In this activity, students will learn about liposomes, design a scientific experiment to test optimal liposomal fabrication, and analyze practical medical applications of liposomes. This activity should take place after studentslearn about cell membranesand/or learning about physiological feedback processes.

After completing this module, student should be able to:

  • Use a reading on liposomes to describe the structure and function of liposomesin short written responses.
  • Gather evidence and convince their peerswhy liposomes are important in medicine.
  • Use the scientific process to design an experiment and test an experimental question.
  • Plot experimental data on a line graph, and analyze data to determine trends.
  • Write an experimental report in a Claim-Evidence-Reasoning format.
