Innovation Ecosystem

Structured around successful innovative regions, information and communication technology platforms, or new industries, innovation ecosystems are bringing entrepreneurs and investors together. Uniquely located to harness the entrepreneurial and technical spirit in downstate Illinois, with technology transfer linkages with the University Research Park, the Illinois Technology and Enterprise Corporation-an initiative of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the state legislature, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), CNST has been able to link researchers and industry professionals to create partnerships and start-ups in the Champaign-Urbana area.

A listing of start-up companies emanating out of micro and nanotechnology research conducted at the University of Illinois.
